Paia Youth Council

Pa'ia.png

Our purpose is to provide a safe place emotionally and physically for the youth of Pa’ia and surrounding communities that offers a variety of social, educational, cultural, vocational, and recreational activities.

This purpose evolved from offering programs and activities to putting a face and a voice on our youth and assisting them in being an important and integral part of the community.

PYCC membership is FREE and open to youth ages 9 to 19. Volunteers must submit a statement of intent and complete our volunteer registration packet.

PYCC has many structured clubs and programs, computer, video, and life skills training opportunities, and the Stonewave Sk8park, as well as a relaxed drop-in center filled with fun things to do: music, videos, games, art projects, and activities.

We are located right on the beach at Pa’ia Bay where we play and interact daily with our community.

All members must return a completed PYCC Membership Form and Member Health Form before participating at the PYCC. Membership starts over on July 1st every year and a new membership is required at that time.

The Pa’ia Youth & Cultural Center Life Skills Program is composed of the following components. Most youth will be involved in multiple components during their years that they are a PYCC member. Each component offers individualized mentorship to help participants identify and achieve goals while building and improving skills in a variety of areas:

radiOpio 88.9FM Youth Radio Program

Pa‘ia Bay Cafe Cooking Program

Malama Pono Project Venture Program

Hekili Multimedia Lab Technologies Program

Maui Hero Project Leadership Program
